About the Role

Perform a variety of custodial duties in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures for C&W Services.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors and other surfaces.
• Operate light and heavy commercial floor machines, including buffers and shampoo machines.
• Vacuum rugs and spot clean daily, shampooing when directed.
• Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and all other horizontal surfaces, including periodic high dusting.
• Wash windowsills, interior door glass, partition glass, and specified windows.
• Wash glass and trim at entrance doors (interior/exterior).
• Spot clean interior walls as needed.
• Clean bathrooms daily, restocking paper supplies and performing standard bathroom cleaning procedures.
• Monitor for defects such as clogged urinals and lights out, reporting them to supervisors.
• Collect building trash daily, placing it in approved containers for removal.
• Replace liners in waste baskets and trash containers.
• Sweep or shovel snow from steps, walkways, and connecting sidewalks.
• Perform periodic tasks such as high dusting, cleaning and polishing leather and wood surfaces, and wall washing.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic cleaning responsibilities require no previous experience.
• Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to function cooperatively as part of a team.
• Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment.
• Ability to use a portable backpack-style vacuum cleaner.
• Requires attention to detail.
• Requires a pride in delivering excellent service.
• Requires organization.
• Requires high levels of energy and endurance.
