About the Role
Operate a variety of forklift equipment to load, unload, and move materials around the plant. Maintain facilities equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
Responsibilities
- Load/unload and move materials (trash/recyclables/Cardboard) by hand or with basic material handling equipment.
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
- Comply with OSHA and SDS Standards.
Requirements
- 1+ years of previous industrial material handling experience in a manufacturing facility preferred.
- Stand Up Fork Truck experience a plus.
- Ability to maintain forklift certification.
- Ability to read and interpret written instructions and to write intelligible reports.
- Knowledge of plant layout including location of materials.
- Plant safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Must be certified by C&W Services to operate fork-lift before he/she can be put to work.
- Frequently lift up to 35 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, and pivot.
