About the Role
PURE Insurance is seeking an experienced technology leader to oversee the architecture and technical direction of the Finance technology portfolio, including Billing, Payments, Accounting, Reinsurance, and enterprise financial integrations. This role involves defining technology strategy, leading engineering teams, and partnering with business leaders to modernize platforms and integrate AI-driven solutions.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the multi-year technology vision and architecture roadmap for Finance.
- Partner with Finance leadership to align technology investments with business strategy.
- Evaluate business value, architectural fit, security, and operational risk for technology investments.
- Establish architecture principles, standards, governance, and reusable design patterns.
- Lead solution design for strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.
- Foster architectural consistency and drive engineering best practices.
- Lead and develop a high-impact team of engineers.
- Drive engineering excellence through modern delivery practices and quality metrics.
- Collaborate with Finance, Infrastructure, Security, and Enterprise Architecture leaders.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and strategic vendor partnerships.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to executive and business audiences.
- Lead the responsible adoption of AI across software architecture, development, and operations.
- Advance cloud-native architecture, API-first design, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and observability.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, architecture, or technology leadership.
- Proven success leading architecture for large-scale, business-critical enterprise platforms.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing technical teams.
- Strong executive communication and influence skills.
- Deep expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud-native platforms, APIs, and distributed architectures.
- Experience governing modern cloud ecosystems, including infrastructure as code, DevSecOps, and CI/CD.
- Experience leading modernization or digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience leading the adoption of AI-enabled engineering practices.
- Ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on for critical technical decisions.
- Bachelor's degree.
