Embark on a transformative journey as a Platform & Portfolio Governance, Risk & Engineering Insights Lead – VP. In this role, you will support a platform modernization and process simplification agenda within Markets Sales Technology, driving functional guidance across portfolio transparency, platform health, risk, and coordinate positivity, Cyber, DevOps maturity, engineering health, and executive strategy support across new and existing application landscapes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage change projects within the organisation, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and manage project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and external partners, to ensure they are informed about project progress and that their needs and expectations are met.
  • Manage project teams, ensuring they are properly resourced and possess the necessary skills and expertise.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within the agreed budget.
  • Create reports on project progress to ensure proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Manage project risks, ensuring risk, assumptions, issues, and dependencies are identified, assessed, and mitigated.
  • Facilitate change management activities, including training and communication, to ensure successful implementation and embedding of change projects.
  • Contribute or set strategy, drive requirements, and make recommendations for change.
  • Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies/processes; deliver continuous improvements and escalate breaches of policies/procedures.
  • Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organisation functions to contribute to achieving business goals.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work for business-aligned support to stay updated on business activity and strategies.
  • Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought, comparing and selecting complex alternatives.
  • Adopt and include outcomes of extensive research in problem-solving processes.
  • Seek out, build, and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders using influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Retain CIO and senior guidance reporting by delivering strategy-ready briefings, portfolio dashboards, progress narratives, and risk and escalation insights.
  • Define and track portfolio KPIs, success metrics, benefits realization, delivery performance, engineering quality, DevOps maturity, resiliency, stability, Cyber posture, and risk and structure indicators.
  • Support budget planning and tracking for a multi-million-dollar technology portfolio, including variance evaluation, financial commentary, teams alignment, and linkage between spend, priorities, and delivery outcomes.
  • Partner with Cyber, Risk, Coordinates, ORAC, DevOps, and enterprise governance functions to embed requirements into delivery, track audit and risk items, and drive closure.
  • Establish a lightweight portfolio operating rhythm that improves execution transparency, connects delivery, financials, engineering health, resiliency, stability, and risks, and enables timely influence action.

Requirements

  • Experience in technology portfolio governance, programme delivery, business guidance, COO-style enablement, or operating model execution within financial services or another regulated enterprise environment.
  • Considerable understanding of the engineering delivery lifecycle, Agile or Lean delivery models, risk and coordinates environments, Cyber expectations, DevOps practices, resiliency, stability, engineering standards, and enterprise governance requirements.
  • Validated ability to create executive-level presentations, dashboards, narratives, success stories, innovation updates, and accord papers that translate delivery activity into business outcomes.
  • Ability to engage senior stakeholders across Technology guidance, product owners, tech supports, architects, PMO, Finance, central Risk, Cyber, DevOps teams, and Sales and Markets stakeholders.
  • Risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
