About the Role
Alloy Partners is a venture builder that co-creates advantaged startups and venture studios with large corporations. This role is hired by Alloy and dedicated to One Health Studio, an AI-native venture studio focused on human, animal, and planetary health. You will be the operational engine of One Health Studio, working closely with the Managing Director to manage the studio and its portfolio companies. This is an execution-first role for a specialized generalist who translates strategy into action and ensures smooth day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a real-time view of progress across concepts and portfolio companies, including milestones, blockers, EIR status, and key vendor/partner relationships.
- Coordinate cross-functional support with Alloy's shared services (Operations, Legal, Finance, Marketing, HR, Talent).
- Assist One Health portfolio companies with systems onboarding, research projects, and connecting founders to resources.
- Track portfolio metrics on a per-company basis.
- Serve as the day-to-day operational point of contact for EIRs, helping them navigate resources and clear operational friction.
- Manage follow-up with corporate partners, investors, academic institutions, and service providers.
- Track MOUs, EIR agreements, option agreements, and licensing deals, flagging key dates and milestones.
- Draft investor and partner updates, coordinate diligence requests, and prepare materials for meetings.
- Build and run systems for studio operations, including onboarding playbooks and reporting templates.
- Utilize AI tooling to enhance efficiency and cover the full stack of work.
- Own and execute high-priority one-off tasks such as research reports, competitive landscapes, and regulatory filing coordination.
Requirements
- 5–7 years post-grad experience in a demanding environment (venture studio, VC, startup operations, consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy).
- Systems thinker capable of translating strategy into scalable execution.
- High agency; ability to identify problems and propose solutions proactively.
- Collaborative and iterative work style, operating in tight loops.
- Ability to work with minimal oversight in ambiguous situations.
- Comfortable navigating diverse contexts within a single day.
- Clear and concise writing skills.
- High standard for quality and attention to detail.
- Genuine interest in health, biotech, or venture.
- Proficiency with AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Terminal) from day one.
- Based in or willing to relocate to the Bay Area (strongly preferred) or Indianapolis.
