The role emphasizes storytelling and emotional impact over technical polish, with opportunities to work on documentaries, student success stories, brand films, and ad campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Craft compelling stories from interviews, documentaries, and testimonials
- Turn hours of footage into clear, emotionally engaging narratives
- Find the strongest moments, cut distractions, and build effortless pacing
- Enhance projects with music, sound design, motion graphics, typography, and color
- Maintain consistent creative quality across all platforms
- Own projects end-to-end while collaborating with marketers, educators, and producers
- Integrate emerging AI tools and modern techniques while preserving story authenticity
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional video editing experience
- An outstanding portfolio demonstrating storytelling and cinematic editing
- Advanced Adobe Premiere Pro proficiency
- Strong command of pacing, visual rhythm, and narrative structure
- Proven experience cutting interviews into compelling stories
- Meticulous organization and clear communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Reliable high-speed internet and a workstation capable of handling 4K editing
- Portfolio and short intro video required for application review
