About the Role
Stantec is seeking a highly accomplished Principal Structural Engineer to lead work on medium and large projects, and to manage and grow a team of Structural Engineers supporting local and national projects. The Principal Structural Engineer will be able to evaluate, select, and specify engineered systems or products for a project.

Requirements
- Requisite knowledge and application of structural design codes, standards, and applicable building codes
- Strong knowledge of structural systems, seismic and wind design, construction means and methods, materials, and industry standards
- Deep understanding and working knowledge of steel framing (including lateral systems for seismic), concrete framing (including lateral systems for seismic), wood framing, and timber
- Ability to communicate concepts and ideas effectively to a diverse audience
- Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness
- Ability to manage time to meet project budget and schedule
- Ability to participate and collaborate in project team settings
- Ability to engage in creative and critical thought
- Experience with modeling software (Autodesk Revit)
- Experience with general business software (Microsoft Office suite)
- Experience with industry standard Structural Engineering software (CSI, RISA, RAM, etc.)
- Experience with Big Room meetings and HCAI design experience is required
- Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record
