About the Role

The Media Activation Manager is responsible for the day-to-day execution of paid social activity, including testing, media plans, optimization, and analysis. This role involves managing junior team members, overseeing their work and development, and collaborating with the account lead and head of social to deliver exceptional paid social programs.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage designated paid social accounts, ensuring ongoing and timely optimization.
  • Proactively identify tactical and strategic optimization opportunities.
  • Take responsibility for delivering wider client or team deliverables, such as performance commentary, weekly reporting, and innovation.
  • Guide junior team members in achieving client and team deliverables.
  • Ensure adherence to paid social channel best practices and contribute to their development.
  • Own clients' testing plans, organizing tactical and mid-term campaign actions and goals.
  • Manage the planning, execution, and evaluation of tests with methodical accuracy.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and key suppliers, leading team communications.
  • Communicate with clients on subjects outside of direct remit, providing useful insight with support.
  • Manage forecasting and launch new campaigns and initiatives.
  • Maintain working knowledge of display, programmatic, and paid search channels to manage juniors working across them.
  • Take responsibility for data integrity and compliance, troubleshooting data issues across functions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience at Account Manager level in a Digital Media or Advertising role.
  • Experience planning and running larger-scale paid social campaigns on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn & Pinterest across multiple markets.
  • Experience with paid social bid management platforms (e.g., 4C).
  • Proven Project Management, Leadership, and People Management Experience.
  • Experience with Google Analytics (certification desirable).
  • Experience with programmatically-bought paid social activity desirable.
  • Some experience with paid search, programmatic display & reservation-based buying desirable.

  • Concrete knowledge of all areas of digital marketing and media.
  • Ability to implement and adhere to deadlines and project manage multiple campaigns.
  • Excellent client relationship and management skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to think outside of the box for creative solutions.
  • Ability to lead and motivate team members positively.
  • Detail-oriented, responsive, and deadline-driven with strong quantitative reasoning skills.
  • Motivational leadership, leading by example while encouraging and coaching juniors.
  • Provide timely and actionable feedback to the team for development and improvement.
  • Continually monitor and ensure client team satisfaction, identifying and implementing ways to increase it.
  • Foster good working relationships across client teams for flawless execution.
  • Strong and effective communication across all levels.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships internally and externally.
  • Understand when to escalate issues to Client Director and Media Activation Director.
  • Provide awareness and recognition for jobs well done.
