About the Role
As an Experience Design Technologist, you will bridge the gap between high-level design concepts and production-ready interfaces within the Card Platforms Team. You will translate design intent into code-ready logic, component architecture, and design tokens, ensuring a seamless user experience across complex financial products.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop elegant solutions to interaction problems while ensuring cross-platform consistency.
- Apply information architecture and storyboarding to enhance user-centric navigation and satisfaction.
- Conduct data-driven analyses to inform design decisions and generate actionable insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement inclusive design and accessibility standards.
- Utilize an iterative design mindset to incorporate user feedback for continuous improvement.
- Analyze market trends and user research to support strategic thinking.
- Build and document complex UI components, including props, states, and technical constraints.
- Define interface behavior for data changes, error states, and edge cases in partnership with engineering.
- Create live-code prototypes using AI-assisted tools to serve as a source of truth for engineering.
- Validate production builds against UI architecture and interaction design standards.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in user experience design or an equivalent role.
- Proven ability to create functional designs using industry-standard tools.
- Experience designing and optimizing user experiences across web, mobile, and digital channels.
- Experience interpreting complex data into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in inclusive design principles, accessibility guidelines, and assistive technologies.
- Experience working in both code editors and design tools.
- Expert understanding of UI component references, nesting, inheritance, and composition.
- Experience managing design tokens using JSON, CSS variables, or Style Dictionary.
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript.
- Ability to decompose complex workflows into repeatable UI patterns.
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub for design-led code contributions.
- Mentorship experience in systemic UI thinking.
