About the Role
Join a rapidly growing wraparound childcare provider in Thames Ditton as an Assistant/Deputy Manager. Responsibilities
- Support daily operations and confidently manage the setting in the absence of the managers.
- Supervise and motivate the team of Play Leaders.
- Plan and deliver engaging activities for children aged 4 to 11.
- Contribute to themed holiday club programmes and outings.
- Safeguard the welfare of all children.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Ensure the setting meets EYFS, Ofsted, and Health and Safety requirements.
- Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and schools.
- Ensure children are safely signed in and out.
- Keep registers and records up to date.
- Support staff rotas.
- Confidently use booking and IT systems.
Requirements
- A recognised Level 3 qualification in Teaching, Childcare or Playwork.
- At least two years of experience working with children aged 4 to 11.
- Experience supervising or leading a team.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
- Excellent behaviour management skills.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
- Experience in playwork, wraparound childcare, or holiday camps is ideal but not essential.
