About the Role

Owns one core HIL regression pillar, building and maintaining automated HIL frameworks, dashboards, and CI for fast, reliable, and continuous component-, module-, and firmware-level validation during the V6 push. Backfills and extends existing HIL/EOL work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the HIL test environment combining physical hardware with simulated dynamics for stress and fault-injection testing.
• Build and maintain automated test frameworks, reporting, dashboards, and the AI analyzer; keep CI jobs on the HILs green.
• Expand the 30+ module self-tests and improve the associated data pipeline; own regression and smoke test coverage.
• Integrate high-speed DAQ and bus tracing for deep hardware and firmware diagnostics.
• Partner with robot SW and Nimble Health to improve the simulation models used on the HILs.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical, Computer, or Robotics Engineering.
• 1-3+ years validating embedded systems, control software, or robotics firmware; HIL experience strongly preferred.
• Strong Python (and Rust or C++) for automated test scripts and analysis; CI/CD experience (e.g., Jenkins).
• Understanding of digital/analog I/O and robotics comms (CAN, Ethernet, USB, Serial); MATLAB/Simulink a plus.
• Comfortable with requirements traceability and defect management.
