About the Role
Modo Energy is seeking a Power Market Analyst to maintain and enhance its data products. This role involves working between market experts and engineers to ship new features, coach an AI analyst, and ensure product quality. The analyst will contribute to tools that help energy sector professionals understand battery revenue, market changes, and commercial implications.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship new BESS revenue modelling features, working with engineering to deploy them directly to customers.
- Coach Ko, our AI analyst: ingest new datasets, train Ko to answer questions, and guide the regional market roadmap.
- Maintain products, ensuring forecasts, benchmarks, and data feeds operate at a high standard.
- Manage product release processes end-to-end, tracking model updates, communicating impact, and deploying artefacts.
Requirements
- Comfortable building tools and workflows using AI.
- 1+ years of relevant experience in power markets, energy analytics, data, or a technical analyst role.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Ability to interrogate complex datasets and learn new tools quickly.
- Familiarity with battery energy storage or wider energy transition themes.
