About the Role
Join the Building Control team to safeguard public safety and support sustainable building practices. You will play a critical role in ensuring construction projects meet regulatory standards while contributing to the continued success of the Building & Real Estate division.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site inspections at various construction stages to verify compliance with Building Regulations
- Review structural and architectural designs, fire strategies, building materials, and specifications against legislation
- Produce detailed inspection reports, plan stage assessments, and compliance certificates
- Maintain accurate and traceable records of all findings and recommendations
- Advise clients on Building Regulations matters and interpret national and local building codes
- Issue formal notices on breaches under the Building Safety Act 2022
Requirements
- Construction-related degree, HNC, or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 3 years of construction trade experience
- Commitment to register as a Building Inspector with the Building Safety Regulator
- Work towards achieving RBI status of 2A or higher
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building client relationships
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
