About the Role

The Project Engineer provides administrative and technical support to the Remediation Team, assisting Project Managers and Superintendents with bids, project setup, and overall project management.

Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate takeoffs
  • Assist with material pricing and project estimating
  • Track and enter purchase orders
  • Prepare, submit, and track subcontractors, supply agreements, and change orders
  • Obtain subcontractor certifications and compliance reports
  • Request, track, and pre-review subcontractor lien releases and pay applications
  • Process submittals, change orders, and RFIs while maintaining accurate logs
  • Perform project schedule maintenance and report issues to the Project Manager
  • Manage and distribute project documentation including daily reports, inspections, and photos
  • Ensure all correspondence, documents, and drawings are received, dated, and logged
  • Manage and distribute OAC meeting minutes
  • Act as a liaison between Project Managers, Superintendents, clients, and subcontractors

Requirements

  • Some construction field experience
  • Minimum 1 year of construction office experience
  • 2 to 3 years of experience supporting projects in condos, apartments, HOAs, or residential/commercial buildings
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Strong written communication skills for logs, RFIs, and submittals
  • Eagerness to learn building envelope remediation and project workflows
  • Familiarity with reading plans and performing takeoffs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
