About the Role
The Food Service Worker assists in the preparation, serving, and delivery of food to patient, employee, and resident areas, including cafeteria, cashier, dish room, and catering duties.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve drinks and foods such as sandwiches, salads, and dressings
- Provide menu information to customers
- Assist with food preparation and operate food production equipment
- Operate grill, broiler, or deep fryer
- Arrange table settings
- Clear, clean, and sanitize tables and workstations
- Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans
- Refill condiments and supplies
- Adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines
- Complete assigned tasks within allotted time periods
Requirements
- Ability to read and follow instructions
- Proficient English reading, writing, and speaking skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work harmoniously with other departments
- Ability to manage and complete assignments in a timely manner
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, bending, and carrying light items
- Valid driver's license may be required
