About the Role

The Senior Data Analyst is a hands-on analytical contributor embedded within the engineering team, bridging the gap between data, engineers, and product managers. The role focuses on ensuring data integrity for the Knowledge Graph through dataset validation, query verification, root cause analysis, and statistical assessment of data quality across multiple storage technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Validate datasets in Databricks and CDS for completeness, accuracy, and structural integrity
  • Verify benchmark query outputs across different technologies for consistency and correctness
  • Identify, document, and trace root causes of data discrepancies and defects
  • Develop and maintain validation test cases for benchmark queries and compliance use cases
  • Support the collection and documentation of business unit compliance use cases
  • Assess use cases to determine if they require conventional database approaches or graph database capabilities
  • Contribute analytical rigor to use case triage regarding cost and complexity
  • Apply statistical methods to evaluate dataset representativeness, sampling quality, and measurement reliability
  • Analyze benchmark result distributions to identify outliers and assess variance
  • Produce summary statistics and data quality reports to inform architecture assessments
  • Document validation findings, defect reports, and root cause analyses for engineering teams
  • Maintain a record of known data issues and resolution status across technologies

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience validating large, complex datasets
  • Strong SQL skills with experience in relational databases
  • Experience working with data at significant scale involving hundreds of millions of records
  • Familiarity with ETL pipelines and data quality issues
  • Practical experience applying statistical methods to data quality assessment
  • Ability to interpret benchmark result data and distinguish performance differences
  • Comfort working across multiple database technologies and query languages
  • Experience with Databricks or similar distributed data platforms
  • Strong written communication skills for technical and stakeholder reporting
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Experience embedded in a cross-functional engineering team
