About the Role
The Logistics Associate will join a dynamic and fast-paced Supply Chain-Logistics team responsible for managing business operations including Imports, Warehouses, cross trades, and Exports outside Europe.
Responsibilities
- Process import, export, and cross-trade operations from start to finish, including processing shipping documents, sending customs clearance instructions, and delivering goods and documents to the warehouse/client.
- Maintain accurate records of all import transactions via the e-filing system.
- Liaise with forwarders and warehouses to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant import regulations and procedures.
- Handle Non-Conformances.
- Conduct occasional on-site inspection of warehouses.
- Process invoices from warehouses, forwarders, and other suppliers.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a trading company in the food industry.
- Fluency in English is essential.
- Knowledge of Incoterms.
- Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Experience in International Trade/Logistics (Shipping, X-Trades, Exports, Imports).
- Experience working with Shipping Lines and Forwarding agents in different modes of transportation (Sea and Air).
- Knowledgeable of Customs Clearance procedures within the EU and UK.
- Experience fulfilling Export requirements with regard to documentation (COA, COO, Health Certificates, inspections etc.).
- Solid knowledge of Exports to different countries (Middle East, Africa, South America).
- Knowledge of Import regulations within the food industry and Port Health requirements.
