About the Role
Multiverse is rebuilding its platform on an AI-first foundation. The Enterprise Trust & Reliability team ensures platform integrity with customers, regulators, and investors. This role is crucial for turning enterprise trust into revenue through strategic technology vendor partnerships and procurement, enabling Multiverse to innovate rapidly while maintaining trust.
Responsibilities
- Build and own commercial and vendor relationships with key technology providers (e.g., Anthropic, AWS, Google, Salesforce, Oracle).
- Proactively identify value beyond cost in vendor relationships, such as training, co-building, product integrations, or improved commercial terms.
- Centralize and modernize technology procurement, renewal, and consolidation processes.
- Establish a software asset register and a clear intake-and-approval flow, engaging legal and security early.
- Ensure total cost of ownership and usage-based pricing are transparent and mapped to outcomes.
- Own and manage live technology contracts, including LLM enterprise contracts, AI tooling, and Identity platforms.
- Lead negotiations and renewals across the technology portfolio.
- Transform procurement and partnerships into a commercial lever, influencing cross-functional teams.
- Generate trust and vendor evidence to accelerate enterprise and regulated customer deals.
- Map the technology estate, including contracts, renewal dates, and owners.
- Develop a clear picture of spend across tokens, seats, and cloud.
- Identify and implement quick wins, such as renegotiating spend with existing suppliers.
- Stand up procurement, renewal, and consolidation processes with early engagement from security and legal.
- Land consolidation or renegotiation wins, potentially through usage-backed recommendations.
- Identify opportunities for vendor relationships to bring value beyond commercial terms.
- Coordinate with the Partnerships team on any go-to-market angles.
- Build a repeatable partner playbook for key relationships.
- Maintain a cycle of deepening partnerships and evolving processes.
Requirements
- Experience building and growing relationships with major technology partners (e.g., AWS, Google, Salesforce, Anthropic).
- Proven ability to unlock commercial impact through vendor relationships, not just cost reduction.
- Experience negotiating and renewing software, cloud, or SaaS contracts.
- Understanding of consumption-based pricing.
- Ability to drive decisions across security, legal, and finance without direct management.
- Ability to view vendor relationships as opportunities for building, not just cost centers.
- Treat compliance as a lever rather than a blocker.
- Technically literate enough to challenge vendor claims.
- Comfort navigating engineering and product environments.
- Understanding of the competitive AI landscape (Anthropic, Google, AWS, etc.).
- Ability to advise on strategic calls regarding AI partners.
- Experience with buy-side commercial relationships with technology providers, including planning, networking, and contract management.
- Ability to map the technology estate, including contracts, renewal dates, and owners.
- Experience developing a clear picture of spend across tokens, seats, and cloud.
- Experience identifying and implementing quick wins, such as renegotiating spend with existing suppliers.
