About the Role

Develop AI-powered features that directly benefit users, focusing on RAG pipelines, knowledge graphs, context engineering, and agentic multi-step workflows. Translate modern AI capabilities into practical, reliable, and scalable product features. Play a key role in building and advancing Riverty's AI platform to sustainably increase the productivity of software development. Design and implement AI-based solutions using Large Language Models, agentic architectures, and knowledge graphs to enable automation and intelligent developer workflows across the technology organization.

Responsibilities

Develop and optimize RAG pipelines, including retriever components, embeddings, indexing processes, and evaluation logic.
Integrate and utilize knowledge graphs to provide structured context to AI systems and agents.
Implement agentic multi-step workflows using MCP clients, orchestration logic, and supporting tools.
Develop prompting strategies, chunking concepts, and context preparation methods tailored to specific product requirements.
Integrate AI models into Riverty's existing platforms and systems.
Optimize performance, conduct benchmarking, and manage costs for RAG and agentic architectures.
Collaborate closely with Platform Engineers on the use of shared SDKs, gateway patterns, and architectural standards.
Create and maintain clear technical documentation and actively contribute to best practices in context engineering.

Requirements

Solid experience in software development with Java, Python, or TypeScript (minimum 4 years).
Experience with or strong motivation for working with RAG pipelines, retrieval systems, vector databases, or graph technologies.
Ability to translate AI potential into concrete, user-oriented product features.
Structured, reliable work approach with a high degree of personal responsibility and a strong focus on implementation.
Strong interest in data-driven systems, search technologies, and context architectures.
Team-oriented work style and clear, effective communication in interdisciplinary teams.
Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken (C1+).
