About the Role

This entry-level CDL-A Driver Apprenticeship program offers hands-on experience, classroom instruction, and professional coaching to prepare candidates for local CDL-A driving roles. Trainees are paid throughout the program and placed into full-time positions upon successful completion.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience
• Participate in classroom instruction
• Receive professional coaching
• Perform duties as a fueler, yard jockey, and trainee driver
• Receive equipment training on the company's in-service fleet
• Engage in 1-on-1 coaching with certified trainers
• Focus on safety, compliance, and operational readiness

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Possess a valid NYS driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Pass DOT physical and drug screening
• Able to lift up to 100 lbs
• Able to move up to 3,000 lbs rolling weight
• Willingness to work varied shifts during training
• Interest in developing a long-term driving career
• Bending (Constant 5-8 Hours)
• Exposure to Cold Environment (Frequent 3-5 Hours)
• Exposure to Hot Environment (Frequent 3-5 hours)
• Grasping/Finger Movement & Dexterity- Left/Right Hands (Constant 5-8 Hours)
