About the Role

This is a technical pre-sales position focused on HPE's security portfolio, including SASE, SSE, Zero Trust, AI-driven security, and cloud-native cybersecurity architectures. You will play a key role in shaping secure, cutting-edge solutions for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical discovery, solution design and architecture workshops to develop secure, scalable customer solutions.
  • Partner with Sales to position HPE's Security portfolio, including SASE, SSE, Firewalls, NAC, Zero Trust and AI-driven security technologies.
  • Deliver compelling customer presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts to technical and executive audiences, acting as the technical lead throughout the sales cycle.
  • Engage with CISOs, security architects, and IT leaders to discuss cybersecurity strategy, industry trends and modern security architectures.
  • Produce high-quality RFP/RFI responses, security questionnaires and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to ensure successful solution design, implementation and customer success.
  • Build trusted customer relationships, provide technical leadership and support successful deal outcomes through close collaboration with sales and partner teams.
  • Remain current on emerging cybersecurity technologies, AI and the competitive landscape, with flexibility to support customer engagements, including occasional evenings or weekends when required.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in technical pre-sales or solution engineering across cybersecurity, networking, Cloud or SASE/SSE.
  • Strong knowledge of SASE, SSE, Zero Trust, SD-WAN, NGFW, NAC, ZTNA, CASB, SWG, DLP and cloud security.
  • Solid understanding of networking technologies including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, HTTP/S, TLS, IPsec, NAT, OSPF, BGP and WAN architectures.
  • Experience with identity and access technologies including SSO, SAML, OAuth, OIDC, MFA and RBAC.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, virtualization, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven security, XDR, SIEM, SOAR, APIs, MCP and security automation.
  • Excellent customer-facing presentation, communication, and solution design skills, with experience delivering workshops, demonstrations and proof-of-concepts.
  • Relevant industry certifications (or equivalent), such as CISSP, CCSP, CCNP Security, GIAC, JNCIP-SEC or AWS/Azure/GCP Security.
  • HPE SASE & Security certifications or technical accreditations.
  • Experience with AI-powered security operations, XDR, SIEM/SOAR, and security automation technologies.
  • Understanding of security and compliance frameworks, such as Zero Trust, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, GDPR, NIS2, DORA and Cyber Essentials (or equivalent).
