About the Role
Entry level sales position capable of supporting the DIY business and achieving sales and service objectives. The role requires knowledge of store systems, basic automotive systems, and parts. The ability to source parts from various locations and in-depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes are essential. This position can be part-time or full-time. Fleet safety certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
- Achieve personal sales goals and help the store achieve its sales goals
- Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs
- Maintain store product and operational standards
- Manage inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, and back stock
- Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot
- Perform general stocking including truck stocking and back stock
- Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
Requirements
- Basic driving and navigation ability
- Ability to use delivery board system
- Friendly communication skills
- Ability to locate and stock parts
- Possess safety knowledge and skills
- Proficiency in operating inventory systems and store equipment
- Knowledge of parts and automotive systems
- Proficiency in operating POS and Parts lookup systems
- Expertise in testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY service
- Ability to speak and write English (Spanish is a plus)
- Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- Accurate use of basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide)
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences
