About the Role
WellNow Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist committed to excellent patient care to join their growing team. This role offers opportunities for career advancement within a rapidly expanding network of urgent care facilities.
Responsibilities
- Start up and shut down all X-Ray equipment.
- Properly identify patients and confirm ordered examinations.
- Travel to designated locations within assigned region to perform X-Ray exams.
- Complete responsibilities related to the company fleet vehicle, including fueling and maintaining logs.
- Monitor communication channels and maintain communication with site teams.
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures and conduct x-rays following established safety protocols.
- Obtain detailed patient history and note observations during radiologic examinations.
- Utilize radiation protection and shielding materials.
- Ensure radiology equipment is functioning properly and report malfunctions.
- Complete Radiologic Procedures in EMR and notate for billing.
- Obtain pre-authorization from insurance companies for CT scans.
- Confirm X-Ray exam in PACS and ensure report availability in the patient's chart.
- Clarify discrepancies in radiology readings with the medical provider.
- Clean and stock the site with team members.
- Participate in quality control and assurance programs.
- Perform basic medical assisting and occupational medicine technician duties to support patient flow, including greeting, registering, and triaging calls.
Requirements
- Mastery of best practice x-ray procedures and protocols.
- Understanding of anatomy and physiology for x-ray testing, including body mechanics and patient movement.
- Knowledge of radiology equipment and common safety hazards.
- Capability to identify equipment issues and troubleshoot problems.
- Capacity to apply written instructions and standardized work practices.
- Friendly and outstanding customer service skills.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Salary/Compensations
- Competitive salary starting at $31.00 per hour
