About the Role
As an Automotive Detailer at CarMax, you’ll play a vital role in delivering vehicles that exceed customer expectations. Your expertise ensures every vehicle meets our industry-leading quality standards. Working with a skilled team in a modern, climate-controlled facility, you’ll handle everything from paint touch-ups and interior detailing to waxing and buffing. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cosmetic inspections to identify detailing needs and ensure vehicles meet CarMax quality standards
- Repair and replace small components, ensuring functionality and visual appeal
- Execute paint retouching, post-paint finishing, waxing, and buffing to CarMax quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following CarMax protocols
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction
- Follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Requirements
- Strong manual dexterity and physical stamina to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate vehicles safely
Skills
- Automotive detailing tasks such as washing, waxing, buffing, masking, sanding, and minor paint applications
- Replacing small parts
- Performing minor cosmetic repairs
