About the Role
The Mobile Maintenance Technician is the operational backbone of the maintenance team, championing the upkeep, reliability, and safety of all building systems and equipment. This role ensures that facilities run efficiently by performing preventive and corrective maintenance, supporting repairs, and assisting with system installations. Acting as a key contributor to team success, the Mobile Maintenance Technician drives operational excellence, promotes a safe work environment, and helps maintain the integrity and functionality of facilities critical to business operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems including packaging and handling machinery, large air compressors, plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop equipment, grounds equipment, and HVAC systems.
- Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
- Review, create, and maintain assigned work orders with associated paperwork within a digital computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, and wallpaper; paint walls, piping, floors, and equipment.
- Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions, performing both reactive and preventative maintenance.
- Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems such as fire alarm systems, fire pumps, and related fire protection system equipment.
- Identify and work with potential outside contractors/vendors from sourcing to quotation to job completion.
- Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer service requests as assigned.
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and practice safe work habits.
- Complete all required safety training as scheduled weekly/monthly/annually.
- Comply with company dress code while working and maintain a neat and clean appearance.
Requirements
- Technical, vocational, or on-the-job training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, and plumbing.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in commercial or industrial mobile facility maintenance.
- Current valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Technical proficiency with work order management systems (CMMS).
- Current EPA certification or ability and commitment to obtain.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; associate’s degree or vocational/technical school diploma preferred.
- Must pass a criminal background check and hair follicle drug screening.
- Must be able to work in a collaborative / safety conscious environment.
- Promote a safe work environment throughout the facility and complete all safety training on time.

- Willingly accepts and assists with all assigned tasks, demonstrating flexibility, accountability, and a team-first mindset.
- Technical proficiency and comfort with troubleshooting various HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems.
- Professional proficiency in executing maintenance tasks with accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with safety protocols, while communicating and collaborating effectively with team members, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Flexibility to provide critical services as needed.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work requests and projects.
- Sense of urgency & personal initiative to succeed.
- Utilize ladders and other lifting equipment to work at heights.
- Perform work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions, including hot and cold environments.
- Communicate effectively with others and exchange accurate information.
- Operate a computer and other standard office equipment.
- Move about the workplace, including bending, stooping, kneeling, and remaining in stationary positions as needed.
- Extend hands and arms in multiple directions to perform tasks.
- Lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
