About the Role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the property grounds and common areas, conducting general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures, and ensuring optimal functionality of heating, plumbing, HVAC systems, and landscape upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocols.
• Plan and schedule repairs in a timely manner.
• Perform general maintenance including landscaping, painting, and carpentry.
• Repair faulty equipment and conduct maintenance of electrical systems.
• Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Support the setup of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems, conducting repairs as necessary.
• Aid in budget development and ensure adherence to the budget.
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
• Inspect alarm systems such as carbon dioxide and fire protection, scheduling repairs promptly.
• Undertake pest control activities, such as spraying insecticide.

Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, walk, sit, use hands and fingers to handle tools and controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs and ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds individually and up to 200 pounds with assistance devices.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
• Works in an outdoor environment and is exposed to adverse weather conditions.
• The noise level in the work environment may be moderate to high.
