About the Role

Waste Connections is seeking a Local Garbage Truck Driver in Austin, TX. This role involves operating a Residential Garbage Truck in a driver/driver team, collecting solid waste, and transporting it to disposal sites. The position is physically demanding, requiring turns working on the back of the truck. After 6-12 months, there is an opportunity for promotion to other routes.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Residential Garbage Truck with another driver on specified routes.
• Collect solid waste and transport it to appropriate disposal sites.
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including working on the back of the garbage truck.

Requirements

• Must possess a Class A or B CDL.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills.
• Must be able to lift 65 lbs throughout a 10+ hour shift.
