About the Role
This is an opportunity for a technically minded individual to join us as an IT Automation Engineer. You’ll be working within a team to operate a highly performant internal technology environment and associated productivity solutions within NatWest Boxed. Hone your existing engineering skills and advance your career in this critical role.
Responsibilities
- Manage and automate NatWest Boxed applications and operational processes.
- Use technology skills to solve problems and improve processes.
- Use scripting/service orchestration knowledge to automate repetitive tasks.
- Work with Service Management, Security, Privacy, Engineering and People/HR teams to ensure CTS are delivered to the highest standards.
- Implement new workplace IT tooling and support the evolution of our identity and access management posture.
- Seek opportunities to automate and improve processes of 1st and 2nd line tasks.
- Provide second line support for tech escalations around device and app support.
- Manage changes to SaaS applications to support wider business requirements.
- Support incident resolution actions relating to Workplace IT tooling.
- Help grow and mature the CTS team by bringing expert engineering knowledge and sharing it with the wider team.
- Contribute to making NW Boxed a great place to work.
- Help NW Boxed employees navigate Security, Privacy and Compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Experience working with Scripting and Orchestration.
- Ability to identify and automate processes to improve operational efficiencies.
- Ability to evaluate, implement and operate various automation tooling and technologies.
- Ability to strike the right balance between automation and manual process on a cost-benefit basis.
- Ability to be a self-starter and a fast learner.
- Flexible approach and enjoyment of collaborating with others to deliver a common goal.
