About the Role
As a Structural Designer I, you’ll join our growing structural engineering team in an entry-level drafting role. Working under close supervision, you’ll learn to produce structural drawings, models, and details that support our renewable energy projects across solar (PV), battery storage (BESS), and high-voltage (HV).
Responsibilities
- Prepare and revise structural construction drawings and details using Autodesk products.
- Assist with drafting and detailing various types of foundations and structures.
- Compile foundation bills of material (BOMs) and quantity takeoffs.
- Incorporate markups and revisions accurately under the guidance of engineers and senior designers.
- Follow applicable Client, EPC, Owner, and Utility standards on assigned drawings.
- Learn and adhere to CAD standards, templates, and file and revision control procedures.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Autodesk products.
- Ability to prepare and revise structural construction drawings and details.
- Experience assisting with drafting and detailing foundations, steel structures, and building envelopes.
- Skill in compiling foundation bills of material (BOMs) and quantity takeoffs.
- Ability to coordinate with the civil design team.
- Experience working with structural engineers and senior designers to incorporate markups and revisions.
- Knowledge of applicable Client, EPC, Owner, and Utility standards.
- Understanding of CAD standards, templates, and file and revision control.
