About the Role

The eCommerce Commercial Insights Analyst will analyze large datasets to identify trends and provide insights that guide strategic business decisions. This role involves collecting and analyzing data, developing sales and marketing insights, and making optimization recommendations to enhance the digital experience and performance across Dyson's Canadian e-commerce platform and media channels.

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and present weekly reporting and insights related to sell-out and promotional activity.
  • Utilize data tools such as MS Excel, Tableau, and Adobe Analytics for reporting, analysis, and commentary on key business trends.
  • Collaborate with eCommerce sales leads to support sales strategy, promotional insights, planning, forecasting, and assortment reviews.
  • Build Adobe and Tableau Reporting Dashboards for end-user self-sufficiency and data insights.
  • Oversee special projects and ad hoc requests.
  • Proactively monitor the eCommerce platform for changes in customer behavior and communicate these insights.
  • Investigate specific issues and propose solutions by analyzing data from various sources.
  • Collaborate with the eCommerce team to develop multi-variant and A/B tests and support post-test analysis.
  • Ensure the integrity of digital data by monitoring the tagging strategy on Dyson's digital properties.
  • Create reports that visualize data to highlight performance, trends, and actionable items.
  • Maintain working knowledge of industry best practices and changes in analytics platforms.
  • Work closely with product marketing teams to understand owner preferences and implement cross-channel customer journeys.
  • Partner with eCommerce and Media teams to measure channel performance and forecasting models.
  • Identify high-value/underperforming audiences and opportunities to improve visitor engagement and conversion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a sales analytics role.
  • Solid understanding of eCommerce user journeys, digital usability, and user experience.
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills.
  • Experience with Tableau is a plus.
  • Mastery of web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics.
  • Working knowledge of how analytics tools collect, process, and store data.
  • Ability to distill complex analytics into simple themes for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of identifying digital optimization opportunities based on customer insight and data interpretation.
  • Ability to accurately test, verify, and debug data collected by digital analytics platforms.
  • Proficiency in data visualization and report creation.
  • Understanding of data management, multi-channel marketing strategies, and conversion rate optimization.
  • Comfortable flexing between strategic thinking and day-to-day execution.
  • Proactive, creative, and enjoys problem-solving.
  • High sense of urgency, strong attention to detail, and high standards for work quality.
  • Ability to develop positive and productive professional relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, planning, and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytic presentation skills for senior and peer-level audiences.
