About the Role
The Assistant Manager, Team Operations supports the day-to-day logistical and operational needs of the team, ensuring a seamless experience for players, coaches, basketball operations staff, and guests. This role assists with administrative operations, team travel logistics, event planning, and equipment support.
Responsibilities
- Support team equipment operations including inventory management, organization, and travel logistics.
- Coordinate individual player and staff travel arrangements for Summer Development programs and NBA Summer League.
- Coordinate event-based hospitality and guest experiences during team travel.
- Manage team gifting and hospitality initiatives including sourcing, inventory, and distribution.
- Oversee scheduling and operational coordination of OVO North Court community rentals and special events.
- Provide office administration support including supplies management, shipping, and receiving.
- Assist in planning and executing team events on the road.
- Maintain accurate operational records, inventories, and administrative documentation.
- Support additional team operations projects and respond to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in team operations, sports administration, event management, hospitality, or logistics.
- Experience coordinating equipment, travel, events, or operational logistics in a professional sports or high-performance environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to build effective relationships with players, staff, vendors, and partners.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with inventory management, travel coordination, and administrative systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Ability to regularly lift and move equipment weighing up to and exceeding 75 lbs.
