About the Role
Empower individuals with developmental disabilities to live more independent, connected, and fulfilling lives through personalized support and meaningful community involvement. Help people build confidence, learn new skills, and advocate for themselves.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized support in home and community settings based on each person’s plan
- Promote independence in daily living, social skills, and community access
- Foster relationships and encourage self-advocacy
- Monitor safety and well-being; report concerns as needed
- Accurately document services using digital tools
- Communicate effectively with families, teams, and care coordinators
- Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training
Requirements
- Compassion, patience, and dedication to helping others
- Ability to teach life or vocational skills clearly and supportively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with basic technology and documentation
