About the Role

This role involves researching and analyzing developments in social media, streaming, and digital communities to identify trends and derive strategic insights for artists, releases, and projects. You will monitor platforms, creator dynamics, and audience behavior to provide recommendations for content, communication, and marketing strategies. Additionally, you will analyze release performance, identify growth drivers, and support A&R in artist research and evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze developments in social media, streaming, and digital communities.
  • Identify trends, scenes, sounds, and cultural movements.
  • Derive strategic approaches for artists, releases, and projects.
  • Identify relevant signals on platforms and monitor creator dynamics and audience behavior.
  • Develop concrete recommendations for content, communication, and marketing strategies.
  • Analyze the performance of releases and catalogs.
  • Identify growth drivers, consumption patterns, and long-term potential.
  • Derive learnings for future campaigns and strategies.
  • Support A&R in researching and evaluating artists and potential signings.
  • Assess market potential, cultural relevance, audience development, and competitive positioning.
  • Provide valuable insights for decision-making processes.
  • Scout for new talents and exciting artist potentials.
  • Share relevant discoveries with A&R teams.
  • Accompany marketing campaigns throughout their lifecycle.
  • Monitor developments in real-time and identify optimization potential.
  • Derive relevant insights and best practices from completed projects.
  • Act as a central research interface within the label, collaborating closely with A&R, Marketing, and other teams.
  • Utilize market and industry tools (e.g., Chartmetric, Cobrand, platform insights).
  • Continuously monitor market changes and present findings clearly and practically.
  • Serve as the central interface with group-wide data and analytics teams.
  • Ensure the exchange of insights, requirements, and relevant market and performance insights.

Requirements

  • First experience in digital marketing, A&R, research, or the entertainment/music industry.
  • Good analytical skills and enjoyment in structuring information, recognizing connections, and presenting findings clearly.
  • Proficiency with Excel/Sheets and enjoyment in consolidating information from various sources.
  • Understanding of streaming mechanics, social media platforms, digital communities, and current developments in the music and media landscape.
  • Structured and reliable work approach.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate closely and cooperatively with A&R and Marketing.
  • Curiosity, cultural interest, and attentive observation of trends, new platforms, and changes in user behavior.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
