About the Role

Todd Snyder is seeking a leader to drive sales and influence customer experience, manage visual merchandising, ensure operational excellence, and foster team performance within a sophisticated American style menswear brand.

Responsibilities

  • Model a service-first mindset reflective of the brand’s selling culture.
  • Provide a positive experience for all guests, acting as the Leader On Duty as needed to support floor coverage.
  • Collaborate with the Store Leadership Team to develop and execute business strategies aligned with KPIs and sales goals.
  • In the absence of the Store Manager, resolve customer service issues, including authorizing customer service exceptions, appeasement discounts, damage discounts, and return policy extensions.
  • Develop business acumen skills related to store operations, product assortment, and business opportunities.
  • Maintain awareness of current promotional and marketing activities.
  • Lead the execution of monthly floor sets, including preparation, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of visual merchandising directives.
  • Manage all visual directives, mapping and floorsets, ensuring they are properly planned, scheduled and properly planned to be executed seamlessly within allotted timeframe.
  • Partner with Store Manager on scheduling needs for floorsets and visual merchandising objectives.
  • Ensure proper styling, maintenance, and presentation of window displays and mannequins.
  • Generate and analyze merchandise performance reports to influence merchandising decisions in collaboration with the Market Visual Manager.
  • Execute merchandising updates based on sell-through and product performance, seeking Market Visual Manager feedback as needed.
  • Maintain brand standards by supporting and directing associates to keep the sales floor replenished and aligned with the latest visual directives.
  • Observe store team performance and provide feedback to improve execution of visual standards.
  • Participate in conference calls regarding Visual Merchandising updates and strategies.
  • Provide direction to the team on upcoming floorset preparation.
  • Lead associates on execution of floorsets.
  • Maintain discipline in stockroom organization and replenishment processes to support seamless store operations.
  • Execute daily operational procedures, supporting management to ensure compliance with audit processes and shrink reduction efforts.
  • Ensure markdowns are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Proactively seek personal learning and development opportunities to elevate leadership skills and individual performance.
  • Open and close the store in absence of another manager and perform all responsibilities associated with it.
  • Contribute and participate in biannual inventory reconciliation.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented environment by embodying company values and cultivating a high-performance, customer-centric culture.
  • Build strong relationships with peers, associates, and leadership to drive engagement and performance.
  • Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable for performance and operational excellence.
  • Train associates and managers on visual standards and expectations, providing ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Communicate observed performance opportunities to the Store Manager for further development and action.
  • Offer in-the-moment feedback to boost associate confidence and skills.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, regulations, and laws, including safety procedures, leave policies, scheduling, and timekeeping.
  • Clearly communicate store and company objectives, priorities, and initiatives to team members.
  • Accurately complete POS transactions including cash, credit and employee transactions.
  • Complete daily managerial responsibilities such as bank deposits, recaps, Zipline reviews, and start/end-of-day processes in accordance with company policies.
  • Complete required annual training and ensure team adherence to compliance requirements.
  • Accurately receive merchandise shipments and conduct merchandise transfers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager or field leadership based on business needs.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in response to shifting workload or task priorities.
  • Demonstrate company values.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma, or equivalent.
  • Previous retail sales or leadership experience preferably in a commissioned selling environment.
  • Previous experience in Visual Merchandising in an apparel or accessories retail environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to successfully work with a diverse range of clients and coworkers.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while working in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to receive and provide feedback, adjusting approach and taking action as needed and when appropriate.
  • Able to stand, reach, bend, stoop, etc. for extended periods with short rest breaks.
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs regularly and up to 50lbs occasionally, without assistance.
  • Availability to work scheduled shifts based on the needs of the business including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to perform all job essential functions.
