About the Role

Join the Laboratory Medicine Program at UHN, Canada's largest hospital diagnostic lab and a global leader in academic labs. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will contribute to ground-breaking research, education, and exemplary service while shaping the future of laboratory medicine.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory procedures across all disciplines and functions
• Ensure completion of assigned workload
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment and work areas
• Prepare written and electronic reports to document procedures and test results
• Participate in teaching, educational, safety, and quality improvement programs
• Observe and understand hospital and departmental policies and procedures
• Adhere to hospital mission and values while maintaining patient confidentiality

Requirements

• Completion of a recognized MLT - Cytogenetics / Molecular Genetics program
• Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists (CMLTO)
• Specialization in Cytogenetics / Molecular Genetics
• Knowledge of laboratory theory, practice, instruments, and special techniques
• Ability to coach technical staff

Salary/Compensations

• 36.84 - 50.24 per hour
