About the Role

New York Edge is seeking passionate and enthusiastic Activity Instructors - Dance Specialists to lead after-school programming for children and teens. This role involves designing and implementing curricula, preparing activity materials, and explaining principles, techniques, and safety procedures to students.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with and among students
• Teach or co-lead daily activities
• Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students
• Support the coordination of program events
• Administer pre and post-assessments and evaluations for student activities
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be knowledgeable and skilled in Dance and have at least one year experience
• Experience working with children strongly preferred
• This role requires you to be in-person at work
• Job requires safety and security clearances through the Department of Education and the Department of Health
