About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Director, Ecommerce to guide clients through the evolving Amazon landscape. This role requires expertise in the Amazon Advertising ecosystem and the ability to translate retail strategy into effective shopper marketing programs. The position involves maintaining strong Amazon channel knowledge and relationships, collaborating with internal and external teams, and developing strategies to drive client growth on Amazon. As part of the Commerce team, this role will lead the creation of annual omnichannel marketing plans, monitor KPIs, report on results, and provide actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Lead omnichannel marketing strategies.
  • Translate channel, shopper, and category insights into omnichannel marketing plans utilizing the full Amazon Advertising ecosystem.
  • Understand the Amazon consumer journey and leverage shopper marketing plans to define media touchpoints.
  • Lead the development of data-driven omnichannel shopper marketing strategies for CPG clients at Amazon.
  • Act as the main client point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring quality and excellence of deliverables.
  • Manage direct reports and partner with cross-functional team members to execute tactics.
  • Lead preparation and presentation of program post-mortems to clients and internal teams.
  • Evaluate business trends, shopper insights, and post-campaign analysis using proprietary platforms and Amazon's Advertising technology.
  • Stay updated on new capabilities, shopper marketing vendors, and innovation trends specific to Amazon.
  • Own Amazon Advertising and retail partner relationships.
  • Manage Amazon Advertising relationships and ensure early access to new products and services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Amazon Advertising and other offsite integration partners.
  • Collaborate with the broader Connected Commerce team to ideate, plan, and execute omnichannel programs at Amazon.
  • Provide advisement to the Amazon Commerce team for shopper marketing strategy, plan building, optimization, measurement, and ROI.
  • Deliver learnings and points of view on program effectiveness to improve Amazon Enterprise Advertising offerings.
  • Partner with other Commerce leaders to share learnings and best practices.
  • Define and track the performance of retailer capabilities, program offerings, and innovation.

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience in Amazon marketing, shopper marketing, and/or retail marketing.
  • Amazon Marketing Services and Vendor Central experience required.
  • Current knowledge of Shopper Marketing at Amazon.
  • Prior experience working directly for or with Amazon.
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing results, synthesizing data, drawing out insights & implications, and developing actionable recommendations.
  • Sound decision-making skills based in an agency and client setting leveraging industry knowledge.
  • Dynamic personality able to effectively engage and influence a variety of audiences.
  • Desire and ability to work within a cross-functional, team-oriented environment.
  • A strong work ethic that is proactive, collaborative, and highly organized.
  • Passion for business and dissatisfaction with the status quo.
  • Confident presenter and clear, persuasive communicator (verbal and written) of complex data/details.
