About the Role
As Market Development Manager, you will build and manage relationships with local decision-makers and public transport authorities, developing service design, rider experience, and commercial performance within a dedicated region. You will collaborate with local Policy and Operations teams and central stakeholders to expand Voi's footprint and ridership in existing and new markets.
Responsibilities
- Build strong ties with key stakeholders including public transport authorities, city administrators, project managers, associations, and partner companies.
- Run events and initiatives with the local public policy team to enhance performance against city priorities and grow market footprint.
- Evaluate new market entry opportunities based on commercial viability, regulatory readiness, and strategic fit.
- Represent Voi to cities exploring shared micromobility and lead tender processes.
- Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with cities to secure sustainable terms.
- Serve as the main point of contact for city stakeholders, developing compliant solutions that balance user experience and decision-maker relationships.
- Utilize data, analytics, and market research to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and performance improvements.
- Manage city-level P&Ls and understand key drivers of financial performance.
- Collaborate with competitors in shared cities to strengthen collective footprint and compliance.
- Partner with central growth and product teams on pricing and product strategy.
- Work with the local team to identify opportunities and lead change-driving projects.
- Provide feedback from local markets to central teams to refine playbooks, processes, and frameworks.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in policy, government/enterprise key account management, operations, or strategy, as a consultant or in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in negotiating and managing external stakeholders (partners, government, media).
- Experience managing complex cross-functional projects and diverse stakeholder needs.
- Ability to analyze large datasets using Google Sheets or Excel.
- Experience working with P&Ls, budgets, and business cases.
- Flexibility to travel regularly within the UK.
Skills
- Professional fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to adapt messaging to diverse audiences.
