About the Role
This role involves developing and executing business plans, leading a team, managing store operations, and ensuring customer satisfaction to drive sales, profitability, and cost efficiency within a retail or dealership environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business plans aligned with company goals for the store.
- Monitor and achieve financial performance metrics.
- Optimize resource allocation.
- Hire, train, coach, and evaluate staff.
- Build a positive working environment and strong team culture.
- Lead department heads in goal-setting and coordination.
- Maintain and build strong relationships with key customers.
- Handle escalated customer issues and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Represent the company in customer-facing events or when selling machinery.
- Ensure the facility is maintained professionally, cleanly, and securely.
- Oversee marketing activities and events for the location.
- Coordinate communication across departments for goal alignment and smooth processes.
- Analyze financial data, sales trends, and KPIs for informed business decisions.
- Forecast sales, develop budgets, control costs, and identify efficiencies.
- Work with corporate leadership and partners as needed for alignment and support.
- Uphold company values, mission, and vision.
- Implement and enforce company policies, safety protocols, and operational standards.
- Lead regular meetings to ensure communication and alignment.
Requirements
- Typically 5+ years in a retail or dealership environment.
- Prior management experience (store or location-level) preferred.
- Experience or familiarity with John Deere equipment, agricultural or construction equipment is a plus.
- Ability to coordinate between departments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
