About the Role

This role is a full-time hybrid Financial Planning, Reporting & Cost Control Analyst position in Toronto, ON, CA. You will play a key role in ensuring the financial health of operations by processing and analyzing financial data, providing insights to support site performance, and enabling cost control through accurate financial analyses. You will work closely with operational, commercial, and financial teams, prepare reports and forecasts, and support site management with data-driven decision-making. Your responsibilities will include financial planning, reporting, cost control, process improvements, and analytics innovations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all financial data is collected, processed, and analyzed in a timely manner
  • Preparing and populating budgets, forecasts, and rolling forecasts in reporting tools
  • Streamlining and improving finance processes and planning
  • Maintaining and enhancing financial analytical reporting systems (e.g., Power BI)
  • Preparing relevant analyses and reports during financial closings
  • Reviewing and correcting cost bookings under cost centers and WBS
  • Collaborating with FPMs and function controllers to ensure alignment on numbers
  • Supporting the billing process by collecting data from ERP systems and uploading evidence to client systems
  • Identifying cost and margin improvement opportunities and detecting trends in KPIs

Requirements

  • Finance/Business University Degree
  • First experience in finance
  • External or internal audit experience
  • Prior experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) or Project Controlling is a plus
  • Fluent in English
  • Curious and eager to learn and develop
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn complexity into simplicity
  • Knowledge of accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and financial controlling
  • Proficiency in Power BI and familiarity with IT systems
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and deliver results efficiently
  • Problem-solving mindset and a proactive, can-do attitude
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen, communicate effectively, and collaborate in an international environment
  • Resilience and the ability to perform under pressure while maintaining integrity
