About the Role
The Assistant Dean, Registrarial and Student Services (ADRSS) provides leadership and strategic direction for the Registrar’s Office and Student Services team. This role focuses on integrating Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) into operations, overseeing student recruitment and retention initiatives, and ensuring the Faculty’s academic mission is supported through data-informed strategic planning and high-quality student services.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Registrar’s Office and Student Services team.
- Integrate Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) perspectives into registrarial and student services operations.
- Oversee the rollout and administration of student recruitment and retention initiatives, including the Black Student Application Program and Indigenous Students Application Program.
- Collaborate with the Dean and Senior Leadership Team to achieve strategic plans and academic mission.
- Represent the Faculty on various Faculty and University committees.
- Direct all aspects of service delivery for potential and registered students, including admissions, financial aid, enrollment, and academic scheduling.
- Manage human resources, labour relations, technology, and finances for the department.
- Analyze educational trends to determine long-term enrollment and fiscal health.
- Serve as the Deputy FIPPA Officer for the Faculty.
- Foster a culture of customer service excellence.
Requirements
- University degree required; graduate degree preferred.
- Seven years of progressive strategic experience in student and registrarial services.
- Strong understanding of the higher education landscape.
- Experience developing and evaluating registrarial, student services, financial aid, and academic advisory services.
- Management and supervisory experience.
- Familiarity with University of Toronto policies and procedures is an asset.
- Knowledge of University of Toronto governance and registrarial systems is an asset.
