About the Role
Key scientific contributor to multiple platforms within Advanced Technologies, developing novel methods, models, and strategies for claim support and scientific asset generation. Supports innovation with new concepts, technologies, testing, and communications to elevate formula efficacy and market position. Inspires the team towards a common vision by being a role model and point of reference for innovative skin biology concepts.
Responsibilities
- Leads a junior scientist direct report towards generating and reporting scientific data for new claims substantiation.
- Provides scientific training, mentorship, and oversees experimentation and data reporting for the team.
- Interacts with colleagues within the ATP community, clinical testing, legal/regulatory, and other R&I groups to bring innovative technologies to the brand with associated claims.
- Develops new biological concepts, designs and executes scientific experiments, and reports data in consideration of all ELC standards of scientific rigor and compliance with regulatory and legal standards.
- Manages multiple upstream platforms and pillars within the AT department.
- Responsible for scientific guidance and execution of projects of initiatives intended to deliver high-impact breakthrough technologies to be leveraged corporately across our brands.
- Develops PDP goals, evaluates performance, and provides feedback and career guidance to the direct team.
Requirements

Experience Level
- Masters (with 1-2 years of experience) or a fresh PhD
Salary/Compensations
- The anticipated base salary range for this position is $115,000.00 to $125,000.00.
- In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
