About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Merchandising Manager for our Home Directorate, specifically within the Wall Decor category. This role involves analyzing data and building relationships to plan and optimize product ranges for customers. You will work under the guidance of the Category Lead to achieve key performance indicators including sales, profit, stock, SKUs, availability, margin, and risk management. The position also requires maximizing opportunities, leading in-season trading, and task managing Merchandising Assistants.
Responsibilities
- Accurately plan and forecast sales, stock, profit, and SKUs for your category.
- Manage the commercial and customer success of a product range through range planning and agile in-season trading.
- Control inventory levels and open-to-buy through Merchandising Assistants.
- Maximize availability across channels while minimizing inventory holding costs and supply chain costs.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Buying, Merchandise Manager, Buying Manager, Head of Merchandising, Supply Chain, Trade Planning, Sourcing, Trading Operations, Design, and Product Technology.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and Brands.
- Forecast assortment sales, stock, and margin KPIs, and determine Open To Buy parameters.
- Make season trading and volume decisions in collaboration with Buying, including commercial terms and product lifecycle with suppliers.
- Task manage relevant Merchandising Assistant partner/s.
- Analyze commercial inputs to develop the best product range with the Buyer, supported by range planning and pricing architecture.
Requirements
- Experience in Forecasting & Planning
- Experience in WSSI management
- Experience in influencing & stakeholder management
- Proven Experience in Home Merchandising
- Experience in BTA preparation
- Experience in margin modelling
- Experience in flow planning
- Ability to demonstrate experience in merchandising practices, including assortment planning and stock management
- Understanding of Retail Operations and Supply Chain Management
