About the Role
We seek an experienced analyst to assist in the business continuity management (BCM) and resilience of GWAM’s critical processes, ensuring Manulife meets its service commitments to customers and regulators. This role involves developing and executing on strategies to protect essential services and operations. By managing risk and fostering preparedness, this analyst will ensure our business segment thrives during challenges and maintains customer, stakeholder, and regulator trust.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and executing a BCM and operational resilience strategy for GWAM to meet resilience objectives.
- Continuously assess and refine BCM and operational resilience strategies through analysis and feedback.
- Establish collaborative relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Assist in establishing and executing GWAM’s operational resilience governance model.
- Continuously monitor internal and external factors to re-evaluate critical operations.
- Participate in analysis of critical operations, including defining scope, impact tolerance, and mapping assets.
- Identify material points of failure and develop action plans to remediate vulnerabilities.
- Test readiness of critical operations through severe but plausible scenarios.
- Partner with critical operations owners and relevant offices to align and monitor remediation actions.
- Assist in developing, tracking, and monitoring KPIs and KRIs on operational resilience.
- Assist in developing and maintaining GWAM’s business continuity plans (BCP).
- Facilitate regular testing and simulation exercises for BCPs.
- Ensure BCPs reflect critical operations considerations.
- Assist in the validation of critical third parties for GWAM.
- Partner with third party relationship owners to develop and maintain exit plans.
- Conduct simulation exercises to ensure the feasibility and effectiveness of exit plans.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Wealth and Asset Management.
- Proven track record in working on complex, cross-functional, and time sensitive programs.
- Understanding of financial services’ regulations.
- Experience with executing risk & control self assessments, simulation/scenario testing, process mapping, creating action plans, and identifying opportunities and risks.
- Diligent in maintaining project plans, adhering to a timeline, escalating appropriately and documenting outcomes.
- Experience with risk management principles, best practices, and tools.

- $73,725.00 CAD - $122,875.00 CAD
- $73,350 - $122,250 USD
