About the Role
Albany Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist medical providers with basic patient care in an urgent care setting. This float position will support various locations and contribute to efficient patient flow and care.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain equipment and examination rooms.
- Collect vital signs and brief medical history of patients.
- Direct patients to examination rooms.
- Ensure rooms are set up for efficient patient care.
- Order and re-stock medical supplies.
- Provide team support to medical providers and front desk staff.
- Assist with front desk coverage.
- Perform point of care testing.
- Maintain stock and perform daily quality assurance.
Requirements
- Basic Medical Terminology.
- Ability to multi-task as a team player in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Access to information is based on a “need to know” and is the minimum necessary to properly perform assigned duties.
- Use or disclosure shall not exceed the minimum amount of information needed to accomplish an intended purpose.
- Reasonable efforts shall be made to ensure that information is adequately protected from unauthorized access and modification.
