About the Role
Performs CT procedures in various settings and locations on patients as ordered by licensed providers, adhering to hospital, departmental, and New York State guidelines. Assists in all aspects of Radiology Department operations.
Responsibilities
- Performs CT procedures in a variety of settings and locations on patients as ordered by licensed providers.
- Assists in all aspects of the Radiology Department operations.
- Responsible for on-call in CT per union contract.
Requirements
- Must be licensed by the New York State Department of Health and be registered by ARRT (Radiographer).
- Must obtain ARRT (CT) credentials within two years.
- Must be New York State Department of Health certified to inject IV contrast within two months of completing the orientation period.
- Must be BLS certified (or obtained within 3 months).
- One year of Radiographer experience preferred.

- Sufficient sensitivity and interpersonal skills in dealing with apprehensive patients and families in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Positive and effective communication skills for interaction with physicians and staff.
- Ability to think and act quickly to deliver efficient quality care in stressful situations.
