About the Role
This role focuses on firmwide and corporate communications, specifically concerning business resiliency, incident response, crisis management, and security. The objective is to define communication strategies for disruptive events to protect employees, ensure business continuity, maintain trust, and guide leaders and employees through uncertainty.
Responsibilities
- Lead corporate and internal firmwide communications strategy for resiliency, incidents, crises, and security matters.
- Serve as a senior counselor to key partners, shaping decisions and messaging in fast-moving environments.
- Direct communications through disruptive events, balancing speed, accuracy, judgment, and care.
- Develop executive-ready communications and materials for internal and external audiences.
- Establish and maintain crisis-readiness infrastructure, including playbooks, templates, and escalation paths.
- Coordinate across communications and control partners to ensure alignment, accuracy, approvals, and localized execution.
Requirements
- 10+ years in corporate communications, crisis/issues management, internal communications, public affairs, or related disciplines, with significant senior advisory experience.
- Track record supporting complex, regulated, or high-stakes environments (e.g., financial services, government, security/emergency management, risk, technology, operations, legal, professional services).
- Demonstrated ability to advise senior executives and influence outcomes across a matrix with multiple stakeholders and approval points.
- Exceptional writing and message-development skills; able to simplify technical/operational topics into clear, employee-centered communications without amplifying concern.
- Strong judgment and discretion handling confidential, sensitive, and reputationally significant matters under time pressure and ambiguity.
- Operational rigor: ability to build readiness materials, run workstreams, manage competing priorities, and drive clarity in coordination-heavy situations.
- Flexibility to support urgent matters outside standard business hours when needed.
