About the Role
As a Tailor at Suitsupply, you will ensure every garment fits customers perfectly, performing expert alterations and upholding high standards of craftsmanship. Your attention to detail will directly enhance the customer experience and strengthen the brand's reputation.
Responsibilities
- Perform expert alterations on men’s suits, shirts, coats, blazers, and trousers.
- Accurately mark garments and ensure all alterations meet high standards for fit and finish.
- Collaborate with sales associates to ensure proper sizing and garment recommendations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-functioning tailor shop.
- Provide high-level customer service by delivering timely and precise alterations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in garment alterations, preferably in men’s tailoring or formalwear.
- Proficient in sewing techniques and the use of basic tailoring equipment and machines.
- Strong understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and color perception.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple alterations efficiently.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills; professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
- Willingness and availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
