About the Role
Humble Grape, an award-winning wine bar and restaurant, is seeking an experienced waiter with a passion for exceptional service and fine wines to join their dynamic team. The role involves providing outstanding service, assisting guests with wine selections, and contributing to a memorable dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests courteously and friendly.
- Provide exceptional table service, including taking orders and serving food.
- Suggest wines from over 450 lines from 18 countries.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of wine offerings and assist guests with choices.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace and dining area.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff for smooth service flow.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests.
- Upsell wine options and promote special offerings.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a waiter in a high-quality dining establishment.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of wines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Impeccable grooming and presentation.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
- Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
