About the Role
The Manager, Product is responsible for managing the product portfolio, conducting market research, and driving new product launches. This role works within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment to collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring products align with organizational strategy and meet client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the product portfolio and strategy
- Serve as a product evangelist to build internal and external buy-in
- Collaborate on product roadmaps aligned with organizational and customer priorities
- Conduct market research and solicit customer feedback
- Assess the competitive environment and determine competitive positioning
- Generate and curate new product ideas to drive growth
- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and specifications
- Articulate value propositions to development teams
- Define key product functionality
- Drive product development and re-prioritize features as needed
- Lead go-to-market, pricing, and positioning strategies
- Develop marketing and promotional strategies with the marketing team
- Assist in creating sales support materials like pitch decks and product overviews
- Lead a high-performing, cross-functional team
- Monitor product, customer, and operational metrics
- Design and monitor metrics for biobank usage and performance
- Oversee product delivery to meet SLAs and provider expectations
- Manage P&L and ensure financial and operational targets are met
- Build relationships with industry influencers and key customers
- Participate in strategic planning and progress reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience
- 2-4 years of product or brand management experience
- Experience developing and delivering B2B products and services for healthcare entities
- 2 years of experience leading teams
- Knowledge of product management methodologies, business case development, and pricing strategies
- Proven track record of growing product portfolios or businesses
- Proven track record of managing products throughout their lifecycle
- Ability to develop and communicate product and marketing strategies to leadership
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle risk
- Ability to influence without authority
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
